Human Impact
· In the park, they have set up regulations to allow certain wildfires to burn but if they start to grow too much in size they hire firefighters to extinguish them.
· Some ranchers kill off bison, wolves, and bears just outside the border of the park because they fear their cattle would be eaten or diseased.
· Yellowstone contains more thermal features than any other geothermal region in the world. The greatest human impact on geyser basins worldwide is geothermal energy prospecting and development.
· At least eight geyser basins in the world have lost most or all of their natural geyser activity because of geothermal energy development.
· For more than a century tourists have been vandalizing the geyser basins in Yellowstone and throwing objects into them. This can stop the features’ natural activity and can change the temperature of the water.
· There have been multiple vehicle strikes at animals like deer and wolves that also spend time outside of the park
· About three to four percent of the wolves in and around Yellowstone died because of human-caused mortality.

Predictions
· Some microbial algae mats in the Yellowstone geyser basins require specific temperatures so change in temperature can kill them. If vandalism of the geysers continue these algae mats would die off.
· Vandalism can cause irreversible damage so if it continues more geyser basins would lose their natural geyser activity
· Yellowstone says that human-caused mortality in trans-boundary packs is not expected to influence wolf numbers in the park in the future.
